Visit the final resting place of Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite army, a desolate stretch of moorland at Culloden which looks much as it did in 1746 when Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Jacobite Uprising was finally crushed; explore the impressive fortifications of Fort George, one of the most outstanding fortifications in Europe built in the wake of the Battle of Culloden as a secure base for King George II’s army; and discover Cawdor Castle, known for it’s literary connection to Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Located between Aberdeen and Inverness by the banks of the River Spey, Speyside is home to the highest concentration of distilleries in Scotland. The most significant Speyside distilleries are dotted around the “Malt Whisky Capital of the World”, Dufftown, of which you will visit Glenlivet and Glenfiddich.
Throughout the day you will enjoy an in-depth local insight into the process behind producing Scotland’s famous golden spirit. The contrasts between today’s distilleries will provide a taster of the vast range of whiskies available in Scotland and the differences in the distilling processes.
